CHOC CINNAMON BARS/SLICE
2 cups plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup castor sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
250 g softened butter
150 g choc bits
¼ cup chopped walnuts
Mix all the flour and powder stuff. Then get the eggs and butter and mix it all up (in amongst the dry powder stuff). Whack in the chopped walnuts. Put the mixture into a greased pan (35 cm x 25 cm x 2 cm) then sprinkle the choc bits evenly on top. Slip it into a preheated oven at 180º (or a tad less) for 20 minutes (or maybe 15 mins). Hey bingo! You’ve got yourself Choc Cinnamon Bars/slice!
If you haven't seen me cook, you're not Robinson Crusoe! Matter of fact there's not too many that have eh Deb, Pete, Jem? While I was doing this, Fay was making pumpkin soup, doing gardening outside AND supervising me!! No wonder some of us blokes feel a bit inadequate!
Come round and I'll cook you something. I now do, tea/coffee, toasted sangas AND choc cinnamon bars/slice!
Of course the bride isn't stupid is she? I mean she got me to put the chopped walnuts in it to make it go further, otherwise it'd be all gone by now. (I'm learning to like walnuts!)
