WICHITA to DALLAS & WACO

Just had to put this photo in. Taken on the beaches of Miami! Just beautiful. But of course we've moved on from there and we're now in Kansas and heading for Texas. Loved Chicago and St Louis. I'll try and post some more photos.... special thanks to Ron in Wichita (that's right... Derby!)
Staying with Servas folk in Dallas and maybe going to symphony tomorrow night! Fay said, "In these clothes?" (We didn't bring much!)
Have to deliver the Chevy to Waco, and then... who knows. Hope the treedoc can figure out where to from there.
Thanks Ron and Chari for great time here in Wichita, and for doing all that computer work. Photos are great.
I can't believe the Banana Split is folded in the boot of the Chev Monte Carlo! Good ad for them I guess!
Keep watching those storm warnings for us PJA.
Is 26:3 Thou will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee because he trusteth in Thee. (Thanks Dana.)

Sure had a wonderful coupla days-- Can't wait for the reprise upcoming!

Bet you had a WINDY drive today. It blew like stink here today, and saw a note that it was bad all the way south into TX.

Got a call tonight that the guy we visited on bikes in Derby (Dick) fell off a short retaining wall he'd help build and broke his hip and pelvis. So his comment to us about getting some more bike miles in will certainly be delayed a bit!

Best Wishes in your travels.

Ron

Does all that gear really fit on the banana split???? What is the handling like with those huge paniers out the back? The 2005 Jeep Cherokee going to California from Dallas sounds good. Jess would fly over just to drive that through the deserts of Arizona.Great story in THe Word for Today about wisdom belonging to the aged. Wandering through the jungle one day , an old dog sees a leopard approaching. So he lays down and starts chewing on some old bones. Just as the leopard is about to pounce the dog exclaims "Man that was one tasty leopard!I hope there are more around like that".Terrified the big cat turns and flees. So we can see that Wisdom and understanding usually win out over youthful inexperience. See ya mate. Brian

We made it to Waco depsite WINDS. Delivered Chev Monte Carlo and returned to Dallas (but missed concert!)
Staying with Helen Harkness - author of several books that interest me - and her sister Madolyn. There's a Servas gathering here in Dallas on Sunday so we can meet the local Servas folk.
California? or Connecticut?

Photos look great thanks Ron...
