BIKE FOR BIBLES 2013

This awesome team is completing their 7,200 km journey from Broome to Perth and on to Sydney. That's young Nick Corr in the black vest at the front. Not all the riders (and roadies) have done the entire distance, but Nick's one that has.

There were 15 riders when I caught up with them on Tuesday, riding from Yarrawonga to  Lockhart. They were in two groups, supported by roadies.
It was special to say g'day to Evan Elliott (beside me) and the others when they took a break. I've actually cycled with four of these folk and also a number of the others not in this photo. Evan is a mate from Dubbo, and at (about) 76, is the oldest member of the team. He's still a very strong rider and regularly competes in national cycling events.

The Bible Society "Jesus" ute joined the team this week. It has a definite burble as it pokes along at 35 kph. Here's Gordon and Nick being posers.
The ride finishes in Gymea on Sunday 1 September. What a ride!
