WHITE WATER RAFTING NZ

On the Tongariro River near Turangi on the North Island - that's where the action is!

With our intrepid travellers/friends/co-rafters, we set off for a couple of hours on the water. Seemed like a good idea at the time.

...little did we know what we were in for.

Carry the raft - big one too - into the water and then get some instruction.

Pretty quiet really - at this stage anyway. Beautiful scenery.

Janice got a bit excited because she could see some white water.

Have no fear team, our trusty guide told us. There are 64 rapids altogether.

The adrenaline was pumpin' big time!

I think Janice got her moneysworth. Tongariro River Rafting  excellent mob to raft with.

Thanks Ryan and the team. I just don't know how somebody didn't fall out because we certainly came pretty close on a number of occasions. Does it look like we had fun?
