GREAT OCEAN ROAD VAN TRIP
Yes my lovely grandkids. That is Nan in the lead! Isn't she awesome? This was riding one of the rail trails near Rutherglen.
Six intrepid travellers set off to have a wander along the
Great Ocean Road. Bernie and Janice are from Wollongong,
John and Joy from Mossy Point near Moruya

It’s always good when you’re travelling to slip in a bush
camp here and there. Makes you appreciate a few things
in life. This camp was near Everton which is not too far
from the towns of Wangaratta and Beechworth.
Just love the Great Ocean Road! Didja know its history?

The Great Ocean Road is a memorial to the those who died
in WWI. It was a way of employing the returned soldiers,
creating a lasting monument to those who died during the
great war and solving the problem of the need for an
access road along the southern coast of Victoria.

Build time: Aug 1918 to Nov 1932.
In the early years road travellers paid a toll - 2/6 per driver
and 1/6 per passenger. This ended in 1936.
