JACARANDA JAUNT

- Thursday 31 March to Sunday 3 April 2011

Grafton, the ‘Jacaranda City’ of northern NSW is the venue for the 15th Australian Bike Friday Club gathering in 2011. Notice how the wheels are a tad smaller than on regular bikes. Interesting!

As one of Australia's most beautiful provincial cities, Grafton is renowned for its Jacaranda trees, graceful old buildings, sporting and cultural facilities, as well as its location on the banks of the Clarence River.

Bike Fridays are folding bikes and bikes that can be "tucked in your back pocket" so to speak. We have a Bike Friday tandem - a tandem Two'sDay, anld a single one called a TIKIT. Both great bikes. More details about the gathering tomorrow. Maybe some photos!!

TWO LITTLE BOYS...

These fellas are good mates. Hope they continue to help each other as they go through life. Actually, the rider (Cadel Evans) had just ridden into the tennis player (Lleyton Hewitt), but ti got sorted fairly quickly.

These blokes sure love the beach and the water in general.

It is good to have a third umpire in case of disputes. The stance gives her away doesn't it? The tennis racquet had to be surgically removed when the little bloke headed back home after a stay with the grandparents. They'll be back!
