NINA PEARL McLAUGHLIN

NINA was born at 2:19 am today. Here she is greeted by one of her brothers when she arrives home.

So far, don't want to speak too soon, she's a champion sleeper.

The boys are VERY impressed. Yep, she's a keeper! Well done Mum and Dad.

FOUR MEN AND A GRANDFATHER

Been spending a bit of time with four cool guys these last few days. And it'll continue while everybody awaits the impending birth of Deb's #4 kid - this time a girl! This is our youngest - just 1. He's the only one with straight hair! Think the girls are already lining up.

This guy is TWO. And he sure loves presents! Stubborn is his 2nd and 3rd names!!

This bloke cracks me up big time. It scares me when I think he's a bit like me..... very loud and sometimes obnoxious! We're working on him developing an indoor voice. He's sure got the outside one stitched up. We're looking forward to him turning four next month.

At five, this one is the "leader of the pack". Maybe he'll become an engineer. His spelling and maths are pretty impressive for a kinder kid. I even went to his school as a fill in "reading mum" recently. That was scarey stuff. I do enjoy walking him to school.
Yes, all four are boys.
Photos were taken by myself and the boy in blue!

NUMBER PLATES

I have a lot of fun with my number plates. I don't have many "expensive" ones, but I do have plenty of special one. Here are some displays done by some of the members. It's good fun.

I have about 400 plates, but if you've got one you'd like to add to my collection, feel free. Sold a plate PAWPOWR from Washington. A fella from NZ wants to buy my 49 plate from Washington. Maybe I should tell him it'll cost him $100.

Still in Temora, but should be home by Tuesday. Then, it depends on when our new grand daughter is gonna arrive!!!

BEFORE THE STORM

Click on this photo and see it a bit larger. This is Cudmirrah Beach. Today there are expected to be heavy storms and a 2 metre high tide tonight. Could well be quite a dump of rain I guess. The Bureau of Meteorology has given us ample warning. Maybe Swan lake might open to the sea! It doesn't happen very often. How blessed are we to live here? Thank you Lord. MEMORIES ON WHEELS

I was only 22 when I bought my first car - 260 pounds! It had 80,000 miles on it when I bought it. BXJ 262.
OUR first car - a lovely Holden Premier. Great vehicle. Purchased 1967.

Our first car in Canada. Maybe cost is less than a grand.

Our 2nd and last car in Canada. 1970? Cost just over $1,000. Then bought 2 more when we were back in Australia.
Our European Kombi - about 450 pounds. Went all over Europe. Slept in it everywhere. Bought as an empty van, not a camper. Sold for 400 pounds to a Sydney taxi driver.

A V8 was the way to go when we lived up near the Qld border. 3 kids on board. Our first air conditioned vehicle. 1976 Holden Kingswood HZ (I think).
.
1980 VC Commodore wagon. Maybe it cost about $12,000 and was sold many years later for about $5,000+. A 5 speed manual.

Another manual. $12,500 was a good price for this new Toyota Tarago. It held all of us and a few friends if need be. Purchased in 1984 I think. Our first NEW car. From the Toyota dealer in Young. A 2 Litre petrol engine.
All these vehicles had manual transmissions.
Did you have any like these?
